On Saturday, Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma asked the police to quickly arrest Juja MP George Koimburi and popular X influencer Ndiangui Kinyagia.
Kaluma said that both of them should be taken to court and jailed for allegedly faking their own abductions.
According to Kaluma, MP Koimburi, who is a close ally of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, and Kinyagia planned their own disappearances. He said they did this so they can make the government look bad and cause public anger.
"These two clearly broke the law. They must be arrested and jailed to show others that faking abductions is a serious crime," Kaluma said.
Kaluma also warned that if no action is taken, others will copy them in the future. He said such acts damage the name of the government.
"If Koimburi and Kinyagia are not punished, they will do it again. Others will also try it, and this will continue to paint the government badly. The DCI must move fast and take action now," he added.
MP Kaluma said that the country cannot afford to allow such acts to go unpunished, especially when security officers are doing their best to protect all Kenyans.
