As reported by one of the media houses, on Tuesday morning in Tana River, a police officer, who has been described as one of the most feared due to arresting many goons, was brutally attacked by a criminal armed with a sword.
The officer, known for his bravery and tough stance against crime, was responding to an emergency when the shocking incident occurred.
According to the report, the officer had received a phone call alerting him about a crime taking place in a specific zone. Without hesitation, he rushed to the scene to stop the criminal activity.
Upon arrival, one of the goons involved in the crime suddenly attacked him with a sword, striking him and causing serious injuries. Witnesses at the scene described the attack as swift and terrifying, leaving the officer in a critical state.
“It all happened so fast; one moment he was calm, the next, the attacker was on him with the sword,” said a bystander who witnessed the attack.
However, even after being struck and falling to the ground, the officer quickly regained composure. He drew his gun and fired at the goon, who attempted to escape by jumping on a waiting motorcycle.
The officer managed to shoot the criminal in the right thigh, stopping him momentarily.
“Despite being injured, he did not give up. His courage is unbelievable,” said another witness at the scene.
Both the officer and the wounded goon were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where they were admitted in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the other criminals involved in the incident managed to flee, prompting authorities to launch an urgent investigation to track them down.
Police officers in the region have reassured the public that all measures are being taken to ensure the attackers are brought to justice.
Residents in Tana River expressed their shock and concern over the attack, praising the officer for his bravery.
“We are grateful for his courage. He risked his life to protect the community,” said one local resident.
