MP Didmus Barasa has issued a strong warning to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Barasa said he will not keep quiet as Gachagua continues to send goons and thieves to disturb Nairobi residents and leaders who support President William Ruto.
MP Barasa said he is aware that Gachagua is trying to intimidate those who are on the President’s side.
"You cannot send goons to disturb leaders and innocent people and expect us to watch silently," Barasa said in his post.
In his statement, Barasa accused Gachagua of hiring goons to hijack a fellow Member of Parliament. He warned that if Gachagua does not stop the attack immediately and order the goons to release the MP, he will also take action. Barasa said he would personally send 2,000 goons to Gachagua’s Karen home as revenge.
“I am giving you 30 minutes. If you don’t stop your goons, I will send my own – 2,000 of them – to your residence in Karen,” Barasa warned.
He added that Gachagua should be ready to face the same kind of chaos he is spreading. According to Barasa, if nothing changes, Gachagua will be attacked in the evening the same way MP Eric Mumbi is being targeted.
"What you are doing to Eric Mumbi will happen to you this evening," Barasa warned again.
