ODM MCA Robert Alai has expressed his support for President William Ruto, stating that critics are beginning to recognize the reality of the current administration’s efforts.
Alai, who has been vocal in sharing his views, remarked, “We have been telling them, but they called us names. Now they are starting to see the reality.” His endorsement comes amid ongoing political realignments and debates over Kenya’s leadership.
Meanwhile, Jubilee Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni has criticized former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of attempting to recruit opposition members to challenge Ruto.
Kioni emphasized that Jubilee members and other Ruto opponents have no interest in aligning with Gachagua, whom he accused of deepening divisions within the Mt. Kenya region.
Kioni further claimed that Gachagua’s actions are inadvertently strengthening Ruto’s position, potentially securing him another five-year term in 2027.
The remarks highlight the growing tensions within Kenya’s political landscape as leaders vie for influence ahead of the next general election.
