Shock as The Following UDA Politicians Banned From Speaking at Raila's Burial, Reason Revealed

On Thursday afternoon, Kenyans were left shocked after reports revealed that some politicians from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party have been blocked from speaking at the late Raila Odinga’s burial.

The burial is set to take place on Sunday, and sources say the decision has stirred mixed reactions across the country.

According to the reports, the UDA politicians will still be allowed to attend the burial ceremony. However, they will not be given a chance to address the mourners or deliver any speeches during the event.

This move has left many wondering about the reasons behind the ban, especially since funerals are usually open to all political leaders.

Further reports indicate that the main reason these politicians—Joseph Ikuli, Stephen Umaso, and Dancan Umbake—are being denied the opportunity to speak is due to their history of politicizing public events.

Sources say they have a tendency to turn every public gathering into a political platform, which organizers fear could distract from the solemnity of Raila’s burial.

In addition, the UDA politicians are accused of frequently using hate speech, which organizers say could create tension during the ceremony.

The government and event planners want the burial to remain peaceful, focusing solely on mourning the late leader and honoring his life. Only speeches and remarks that reflect respect and tribute to Raila Odinga will be allowed.
