A wave of sadness has hit social media after news broke that a man identified as George Siddondo, who had recently posted an emotional tribute to the late former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga, has died just days after sharing his condolences online.
Reports circulating on social media indicate that Siddondo passed away unexpectedly, leaving many Kenyans in disbelief.
The heartbreaking news was first shared by Radio Jambo presenter Gidi, who announced the man’s passing through his official Facebook page.
According to posts now going viral, Siddondo had joined millions of Kenyans in mourning Raila Odinga following his death. On the very day Raila’s passing was announced, he shared a touching message on his Facebook page that read:
“We came with nothing; we return back to our creator with nothing. Rest in peace, Baba Raila.”
Tragically, just a few days after that message, Siddondo himself passed away.
Following the news, hundreds of netizens flooded the comment section of Gidi’s post to express their condolences to Siddondo’s family.
One user, Ekiring Geoffrey, wrote:
“Indeed we came with nothing and we return back to our creator with nothing. Rest in peace, George Siddondo.”
Another user, Josephine Owili, added:
