On Tuesday morning, October 7, 2025, Steve Omondi Jaboma, a former teacher at Maseno School and later at the Technical University of Mombasa, passed away in Baystate Hospital, Massachusetts, USA.
He had traveled to the United States to visit his family but fell ill shortly after arriving. Despite being admitted to the ICU, he succumbed to his illness.
Steve, known for his towering height, had previously lost his wife three years ago. His passing has left his children orphaned and his friends and family devastated.
The Maseno School community expressed their sorrow, stating, "Let’s keep his children in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time." Former students also shared heartfelt tributes, remembering him as a father figure and mentor.
The loss of Steve Jaboma has deeply affected those who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of many.
