On Friday, MPs Peter Kaluma and Peter Salasya exchanged strong words on social media. This happened after Peter Kaluma said that former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i and MP Salasya are not the right leaders to rule Kenya in 2027. Kaluma said the country needs serious leaders, not people like Salasya and Matiang’i.
In response, Salasya hit back at Kaluma with a harsh statement. He used words that Kaluma found disrespectful. Kaluma quickly reacted by telling Salasya to withdraw the statement and apologize.
“You have gone too far, young man. Show respect. Withdraw that statement!” Kaluma said on social media.
Peter Salasya has been going around the country saying he wants to become president in the 2027 elections. He believes that he can defeat President Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza government.
“I am the voice of the youth. I will bring real change to Kenya,” Salasya has said during his rallies.
Recently, Salasya shocked many Kenyans when he said that if he wins the presidency in 2027, he will choose Fred Matiang’i as his running mate. He also said that he will give a top government position to retired Chief Justice David Maraga.
