A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday when a police officer ended his life after being caught transporting human remains. According to reports, the officer's car was stopped by a traffic officer on the Chavakali-Mbale road. The officer appeared visibly shocked and confused, prompting the traffic officer to request a search of the vehicle's boot.
When asked to open the boot, the officer reportedly refused. After further pressure from the traffic officer, he suddenly drew his firearm and took his own life. Upon opening the boot, human body parts were discovered inside. The traffic officer immediately informed his colleagues, who responded to the scene.
The deceased officer’s body was then transported to the morgue, and investigations have been launched by the DCI. However, concerns have arisen as the officer who made the grim discovery has reportedly gone into hiding, leaving many questions unanswered.
