Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has raised eyebrows after remaining in Bondo, Siaya County, for five days following the burial of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
While most dignitaries returned to their respective counties soon after the elaborate state funeral, Sakaja’s continued presence in Raila’s hometown has stirred curiosity and speculation across political circles.
Sources close to the governor suggest his stay is “personal and reflective,” noting that Sakaja has been spending time meeting local leaders and visiting development projects in the region.
