On Tuesday morning, Kenyans woke up in deep mourning after reports emerged that Loisa Rita, a beautiful Maasai lady and student at Maseno University, had sadly passed away while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The heartbreaking news spread quickly across social media, leaving many in disbelief and sorrow.
According to reports shared by one of her close friends, Loisa had been in the hospital for quite some time as she battled a serious illness.
Her friend, while announcing the sad news online, revealed that Loisa’s condition had worsened in recent days and despite efforts by doctors, she unfortunately did not make it.
“She was a fighter, and we all believed she would recover. It is painful to accept that she is no more,” the friend wrote in an emotional post.
He went on to say that her death has left everyone who knew her in deep pain, especially her family members, friends, and followers on social media.
Many described her as a kind, hardworking, and humble young woman who always had a smile on her face.
“It is so hard to believe she is gone. She was full of life, always encouraging others, and had a bright future ahead,” another friend shared.
Reports by one of the media houses revealed that Loisa was not only a student but also worked as an IT officer at the Baptist Theological College in Limuru.
She was a Bachelor of Science graduate in Mathematics and Computer Science, a field she was passionate about. Her colleagues described her as a dedicated and brilliant young lady who loved her work and inspired many with her determination.
As the country continues to mourn her untimely death, hundreds have taken to social media to send messages of condolences to her family and friends. Many have prayed for her soul to rest in peace and for her loved ones to find strength during this difficult time.
