Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga has not been admitted to the Karen Hospital, contrary to reports that have been circulating widely on social media, Vihiga.xyz can confirm.
Speaking exclusively to the media, Karen Hospital Director Dr. Dan Gikonyo dismissed the rumors, clarifying that the senator was not among the patients currently receiving treatment at the facility.
“This is just to confirm that Hon. Oburu is not in Karen Hospital,” Dr. Gikonyo stated.
The clarification followed widespread social media claims suggesting that Oburu Odinga had been rushed to the hospital shortly after the death of his brother, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, earlier in the day.
At the time of the reports, Oburu had been seen at the Odinga family’s Karen residence, where top government officials and relatives gathered to mourn the late ODM leader.
