"I Would Rather Die Than Die Kneeling" Governor Declares After Revealing Secret Gachagua's Plot

Kisii Governor Simba Arati has sent shockwaves across the political scene after boldly declaring that he would “rather die standing than die kneeling,” following claims that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was behind a secret plot to destabilize his administration.

Speaking passionately to his supporters, Arati accused Gachagua of orchestrating a silent but coordinated campaign meant to make his leadership in Kisii County impossible.

He alleged that the former second-in-command strategically placed spies and saboteurs — referred to as vitina — in critical positions within the county government to frustrate his work from within.

According to Arati, these individuals had been embedded in offices such as the County Commissioner’s office and the local police force, where they were allegedly tasked with provoking tension, spreading misinformation, and turning county officials against him.

The governor revealed that he has endured immense pressure and constant surveillance, claiming that he was being “chased everywhere” by security officers in a bid to wear him down and force him into submission.

However, Arati defiantly declared that the alleged plot had completely failed. He stated that he now understands the political games being played and that he will never be intimidated into silence or submission.

“I have seen how the game works,” Arati said. “They wanted me to bow down, but I would rather die on my feet than die kneeling.”

His fiery declaration has sparked intense debate across the country, with many praising his courage while others call for investigations into his serious claims against the former Deputy President.
