RIP: Photo of Beautiful Woman Who Died Immediately After Returning Home From Saudi Arabia

What was meant to be a joyful reunion has turned into a heartbreaking tragedy for the family of Agnes Shibeka from Kakamega County. After spending four years working in Saudi Arabia, Shibeka had finally returned home to reunite with her loved ones.

Her family had been eagerly preparing a celebration to welcome her back, but just a week later, they found themselves planning her burial instead.

According to relatives, Shibeka had endured years of homesickness and hardship while working abroad as a domestic worker. Her return brought excitement and relief to her family, who had long awaited her homecoming.

“We were overjoyed to have her back. She looked tired but happy to be home. We never imagined it would be the last time we’d see her alive,” said her elder sister, overwhelmed with emotion.

Family members revealed that Agnes had complained of fatigue and mild chest pain shortly after arriving home, assuming it was due to the long journey and change of weather.

However, her condition deteriorated rapidly, and she was rushed to a local hospital, where she passed away a few days later.

The cause of her death remains unclear, but the family suspects that the harsh working conditions abroad may have taken a toll on her health.

“She used to tell us that life in Saudi Arabia was not easy. She worked long hours with little rest,” her mother lamented.

Shibeka’s death has sparked sorrow and concern in her village, reigniting conversations about the welfare and safety of Kenyan domestic workers in the Gulf region.

Many have called on the government to strengthen protection measures for citizens working abroad and ensure regular health checks before their return.

Her family is now appealing for support to give their daughter a dignified send-off. “We had planned a celebration, not a funeral,” her father said tearfully. “It’s painful that after all her sacrifice and years away from home, she only came back to die.”

As the community mourns her untimely death, Shibeka’s story stands as a somber reminder of the struggles faced by many Kenyans seeking better opportunities abroad — a dream that, for some, ends in tragedy rather than triumph.
