Political analyst Arnold Maliba has sharply criticized CS Opiyo Wandayi for what he terms as “dancing on Raila Odinga’s body” by engaging in early succession politics even before the former Prime Minister is laid to rest.
Speaking during a televised interview, Maliba expressed disappointment over Wandayi’s remarks pledging loyalty to President William Ruto and signaling political realignment within Raila’s camp.
He said such behavior shows deep disrespect to the memory of the man who shaped Wandayi’s political career.
“Why couldn’t Opiyo Wandayi wait for Raila to be buried before beginning succession politics? At this point, it feels like they are literally dancing on Raila’s body,” Maliba said.
“It is a shame, especially for someone like Wandayi, whose rise in politics was nurtured by Baba himself.”
Maliba added that moments of national mourning should bring unity and reflection not political games or public declarations of new alliances. Click to keep reading.
