KDF Finally Releases 2025 Shortlist — Here’s When and Where to Report

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has officially released the list of shortlisted candidates for the 2025 recruitment exercise, marking a major step toward filling positions for General Service Officer (GSO) Cadets, Specialist Officers, and Tradesmen and Women.

In a statement issued on October 24, KDF confirmed that all shortlisted applicants will proceed to the interview and selection stages at designated centers across the country. The process will determine the final group of recruits to join the national defense forces.

According to the notice:

GSO Cadet (Regular) candidates will report to the Kenya Military Academy (Lanet, Nakuru) on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.

GSO Cadet (Graduate) candidates are to report to the same venue on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Specialist Officers will also attend their interviews at Lanet on Monday, December 8, 2025.

Tradesmen and Women are to report to the Ulinzi Sports Complex, Lang’ata (Nairobi) on Monday, November 3, 2025, starting 8:00 a.m.

“All shortlisted candidates must present their original National ID, academic and professional certificates, CV, and four copies of each document,” the notice stated.

The military further assured applicants that food and accommodation will be provided throughout the interview period.

KDF emphasized that the recruitment exercise is free, fair, and open to all qualified Kenyans, warning that anyone found attempting to bribe, influence, or manipulate the process will face arrest and prosecution.

Unsuccessful applicants, the statement added, will have their travel expenses reimbursed as per KDF regulations.

The Defence Forces reaffirmed their commitment to transparency and integrity, urging candidates to rely only on official announcements from the Ministry of Defence and KDF communication channels.
