Kajiado Governor Vows Action Against Gachagua and Musyoka Over “Divisive Politics”

Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku has threatened to take action against former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and former Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka, accusing them of using their recent visit to Kajiado County to spread divisive politics instead of focusing on development.

Speaking during the Mashujaa Day celebrations in Kajiado, Governor Ole Lenku condemned Gachagua’s remarks, which he described as fostering division and hatred among the county’s peace-loving communities.

He vowed to involve the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in addressing the matter.

“Kajiado has many small communities that have lived together in peace for a long time. Leaders should choose their words carefully. Mimi mwenye nitakuwa naenda kwa EACC kushughulikia mambo ya Gachagua. Hatutaki siasa ya kugawa Wakenya,” Ole Lenku said.

The vocal governor further emphasized that Kajiado remains committed to President William Ruto’s government, highlighting that the county will not revert to opposition politics given the president’s demonstrated commitment to serving the people of Kenya.

Ole Lenku’s strong statements come amid rising political tensions in the region, reflecting his determination to maintain peace and unity among Kajiado’s diverse communities.
