“Gen Z, Stand Up” ODM MP Sends Fiery Message After Governor Kahiga’s Shocking Remarks on Raila’s Death

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has broken his silence, joining the growing number of leaders condemning Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga over his alleged remarks on the late Raila Odinga.

Amisi, known for his bold stands, called on Gen Zs in Nyeri County to rise up and demand accountability, urging them to hold peaceful demonstrations to push for Kahiga’s resignation.

“If there’s one last favour Gen Zs from Nyeri can give this nation, it’s to demand Mutahi Kahiga’s resignation as governor,” Amisi declared.

He slammed Kahiga’s alleged statement as “the height of tribalism,” warning that such rhetoric could rip the country apart.

“We are tribe-less, and this is the height of tribalism. Let’s fix our nation once and for all,” he added.

The outcry follows Kahiga’s purported claim that Raila’s death was ‘an answered prayer for Mt. Kenya,’ a remark that has sparked outrage across Kenya.

Leaders from all political divides, including Oscar Sudi, have condemned the statement and called for an apology.

Civil society groups have also urged the NCIC and EACC to investigate the remarks, saying they threaten national unity.

Amisi concluded by appealing to young Kenyans to be “the voice of unity” and rise above divisive politics at a time when the nation is mourning one of its greatest leaders.
