In a shocking turn of events, former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga has died while receiving treatment in India.
The 80-year-old opposition leader reportedly passed away on Wednesday morning, October 15, after suffering a cardiac arrest during a morning walk.
According to reports from Indian and Kenyan media, Odinga was undergoing Ayurvedic treatment in Koothattukulam, Kerala, where he had arrived six days earlier.
He was rushed to Devamatha Hospital after collapsing, but doctors pronounced him dead at around 9:52 a.m. Indian time.
Sources reveal that the veteran politician was accompanied by his daughter and close family members during his stay in India. The family is expected to release an official statement regarding his death.
