Residents of Irate village in Kakamega County were left in shock and anger after a disturbing incident on Thursday. A man allegedly attacked a 14-year-old boy, beating him to death after accusing the minor of defiling his two-year-old child.

The shocking act immediately sparked outrage in the area, with residents turning their anger towards the man’s property.

According to a report by one of the local media stations, the man quickly fled the scene after committing the act. Fearing for his life as the mob grew violent, he escaped before he could be caught.

In retaliation, the furious villagers decided to burn down his eight houses. They said they wanted to “buy his blood” but when they failed to find him, they set fire to his homes, leaving behind nothing but ashes and ruins.

Police officers later arrived at the scene to calm the situation and confirm what had taken place. Speaking to the press, one of the officers revealed that investigations are already underway.

He noted that the man is still at large but assured residents that security teams are working to track him down so that he can face justice for his actions.

The incident has left the community deeply shaken, with many calling for justice for the slain teenager and protection for vulnerable children in the area.
