As reported by Standard Media, a pastor from Kapsabet, Nandi County, tragically took his own life on Thursday evening after being caught in a compromising situation with his daughter at a lodging.
According to reports, the pastor attempted to defend himself before taking the drastic step.
He allegedly told the gathering crowd that he was simply teaching his daughter important lessons, and nothing inappropriate was happening.
He claimed that, as a spiritual leader, he noticed his daughter was growing older and lacking certain essential teachings.
He further explained that, as a father, he decided to take her to a reputable lodging to impart valuable life skills and lessons.
The crowd, however, quickly silenced him, deeming his explanation inappropriate and unsettling. As they called the police, the pastor picked up a sharp knife and fatally stabbed himself in the stomach, dying on the spot.
When questioned about the nature of the lessons, the daughter stated that her father had been teaching her how to behave as a mature woman and how she would serve her future husband.
