Speaking on Sunday evening after the burial of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, several of Raila’s allies took to social media to condemn the impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for failing to attend the ceremony.
In their statements, the allies expressed deep disappointment in Gachagua, demanding that he come out and explain to Kenyans why he chose to ignore such an important national event.
They added that many leaders — including those who once opposed Raila — showed up to pay their last respects, putting politics aside to honor the late opposition leader.
“Even his political rivals came to say goodbye, but Gachagua was nowhere to be seen,” one ally remarked.
ODM supporters went on to warn Gachagua that “his time will also come,” vowing never to forget what he did.
They stated that when his day comes, they too will not show up, saying his absence on Sunday was a sign of disrespect to the man who fought for Kenya’s democracy.

Gachagua is not in the broadbased government he is just a private citizen... Attending Raila's burial in front of Ruto is like signing a death wish... He also knew people might start chanting WANTAM
